Tutorial - Combat Mechanics
You can accumulate energy by collecting Soul Orbs (Director).
Characters on your team are assigned a key next to their icon (or touch for mobile) by the top right of the screen.
The bar you see below the enemy's health bar is a "Toughness" meter. Attacks will fill that gauge and stagger the enemy when it's full, putting the enemy in a weakened state. The large shield indicator that pops up on the enemy shows the moment it is in the weakened state.When conditions are met, character icon QTE prompts signals when you can swap the character onto the field, releasing their "Entrance Skill". The Entrance Skill targets the enemy with less health.
